Applied Laboratory And Engineering Solutions – AppLES was pleased to participate as an official sponsor at the 9th International Conference of the Hellenic Metallurgical Society (HMS), held in Thessaloniki on November 3–4, 2025.

The conference was co-organized by the Hellenic Metallurgical Society (HMS) and the Physical Metallurgy Laboratory (PML) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, bringing together leading scientists and professionals from academia, research, and industry. The event focused on current developments in metallic materials, production technologies, and sustainable engineering solutions.

As part of its participation, AppLES showcased the Nikon Metrology ECLIPSE LV150N optical microscope, equipped with the Digital Sight 1000 camera system, performing live specimen observations, phase analysis, and grain size measurements using NIS-Elements software. The equipment formed part of AppLES’ in-house demo setup in Athens, highlighting advanced microscopy capabilities in real-world applications.

In parallel, QATM metallography and hardness testing solutions were presented, underlining AppLES’ philosophy of delivering integrated, high-precision materials characterization solutions—from metallographic specimen preparation to advanced microscopic analysis.
